A Sgian Dubh for the Commanding Officer of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland

Sgian Dubh for the Commanding Officer of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland
This Sgian Dubh was commissioned for a presentation to the Commanding Officer of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
It has an RSS badge inlaid into an African Blackwood handle carved in the regimental style with added brass pins and ferrules. The top ferrule holds a beautiful pommel stone cut by Nat Forno from a pebble found by Black Watch soldiers on the beach at their regimental headquarters at Fort George.
We engraved the blade on both sides with inscriptions detailing the presentation and embossed the sheath with the CO’s initials.

  1. Jesse Tucker says:

How much does your Black Watch sgian dubh cost and does it come with a sheath?

    • Rainnea says:

      Hi Jesse,
I’d be happy to discuss making a similar Sgian Dubh, although as it would be a commission then I’ll need to fit it into my waiting list.
Price would be around £500 (with a high quality leather sheath.)
You’re welcome to send me an email at mail@rainnea.com to discuss details.

Is this sgian dubh for sale? If so, how much does it cost?

    • Rainnea says:

      Hi Jesse,
This Sgian Dubh is not for sale as it was a special commission, however I would be happy to discuss making one similar for you. Price would be around £500. You’re welcome to send me an email at mail@rainnea.com to discuss details.
