Clan McLean Sgian Dubh

Clan McLean Sgian Dubh
We crafted this Sgian Dubh for Andrew’s wedding. The handle is carved from Culloden Bog Oak (approx 4200 years old), inlaid in Sterling Silver with the Clan McLean crest and set with a Ben Nevis pommel stone. The Sterling Silver ferrules are diamond-engraved with name and date. The blade is High Carbon Damascus.
Andrew kindly emailed the following when his Sgian Dubh arrived with him in Canada.
“I ordered my McLean Sgian Dubh for my upcoming wedding and Rab and Tanya worked with me to help work out what I wanted. It was delivered last week and is absolutely stunning – definitely a piece to be past to the next generation of McLeans! Very happy with it and would highly recommend Rab and Tanya. Thank you both for your help and worksmanship.” Continue reading
