Custom Sgian Dubh with Japanese Layered Steel Blade
I made this Sgian Dubh for Sharon to give to Craig for their wedding.
The handle is carved from 4200 year old Culloden Bog Oak with Sterling Silver fittings and a Sutherland Greenstone Pommel. The blade is unusual as it was hand-crafted from Japanese 67 layer steel by my friend and bladesmith Chris Grant. I embossed the sturdy leather sheath with Craig’s clan motto.
