Isle of Lewis Sgian Dubhs

Isle of Lewis Sgian Dubhs
I crafted this pair of Sgian Dubhs incorporating some materials from the Isle of Lewis where we often travel to visit old friends. Both handles are carved from a windblown Walnut tree which fell in the grounds of Lewis Castle in Stornoway. One has brass fittings and the other Sterling Silver fittings and a pommel stone cut and polished from a lovely pebble we found near Lewis Castle. They each have High-Carbon Damascus blades and come with a leather sheath and a presentation box. Continue reading
