Sgian Dubh / Bottle Opener with Skye Marble, Damascus and Bog Oak

Sgian Brew with Skye Marble
“Just a message to let you know I received the sgian dubh yesterday. I’m chuffed to bits with the result. I think leaving the blade plain was the right decision, the finish on the Damascus steel looks amazing. I’m was also pleasantly surprised by just how nice the sheath is, I had expected it to be thinner. It has a very substantial qualitative feel to it. I’d just like to say thanks again, I am very impressed by both the craftsmanship and quality of service I received.” Continue reading

“The Sgian Dubh (SG588) I commissioned with your invaluable assistance is an exceptional piece. The craftsmanship and quality of the Damascus blade is outstanding; the Culloden Bog Oak handle and sheaf, silver inlays and Jasper fittings are so precisely constructed that it makes it, in my view, a true work of art. I am proud to own this and will be happy to recommend your work. Your effort is truly appreciated.
Kind regards from a very satisfied customer,

Sgian Dubh in Rosewood, Brass and Damascus with diamond point engraving

SG910 - Sgian Dubh in Rosewood, Brass and Damascus with diamond engraving
Just posting this photo of a Sgian Dubh I finished last week as I don’t have many examples of blade engravings. I used a diamond point to engrave a phrase in Irish Gaelic requested by our customer.
Update: Just received a very nice email confirming the safe arrival of this Sgian Dubh in New Orleans:
“The package just arrived and what a beautiful gift this will be. I didn’t know what to expect as I have never seen anything like this. I am so excited to give it to my beloved. It is an exquisite piece of art and quality craftsmanship! I know he will love it as much as I do and I am sure that I will be working with you again! Thank you so very much! “ Continue reading
