Matching Sgian Dubhs

Kristian contacted us to make a special Sgian Dubh for his own wedding and a matching Sgian Dubh for his brother, who was also getting married a few months later. The two Sgian Dubhs were to be identical apart from the pommel stones which were to compliment the two colours of their tartan. Kristian surprised his brother with the gift of the Sgian Dubh on the morning of his wedding.
The pair of Sgian Dubhs feature Glen Urquhart Oak handles carved with our traditional Crosshatch design. One is set with a Fife Red Jasper pommel stone and the other with a Caithness Greenstone. The brass lower ferrules are deep engraved with the Turnbull Clan Motto “I SAVED THE KING”. The blades are High-carbon Damascus Steel and each Sgian Dubh was supplied with a quality leather sheath.
Kristian kindly emailed us when he received the Sgian Dubhs;
“The Sgian Dubhs arrived today safely. Both are spectacular. I particularly like the wood texture and also the quality of the engraving. Very much looking forward to wearing mine at my wedding next Saturday and I’m sure my brother will cherish his just as much when I gift it to him. Thanks again for getting them done in time. You have a truly amazing and unique business. Kristian”
