A Pair of Speyside Whisky Sgian Dubhs

I’ve just finished crafting this pair of Sgian Dubhs using some materials collected from our visit to the Speyside Whisky Festival earlier this year. Their handles are carved from a Glenfarclas whisky cask which we bought along with a couple of bottles of when we visited Glenfarclas, which is one of my favorite distilleries !
The blades are Damascus Steel and the sheaths are sturdy leather while the fittings are Sterling Silver, hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office with our stamp ‘LNS’ (Loch Ness Silver). The pommel stones were cut and polished by our friend Nat Forno of ‘Scottish Gemstones’ from some pebbles from the River Spey which runs through the famous Speyside Whisky region. We collected these pebbles while we were enjoying a wonderful Craigellachie whisky tasting on the shore by Craigellachie Bridge after a tour of their distillery.
These Sgian Dubhs are available on our webshop.
