We designed and made this set of special pendants for Dr Shane who asked us to create something special for his wife, Mary. The name of the design is “Còig coin air chuthach am fàinne” in Gaelic which translates approximately to ’5 crazy hounds in a circle’ signifying the couple’s 5 dogs.
The set consists of one white and one yellow gold pendant each holding a central emerald along with one silver pendant holding a central ruby.
Dr Shane has kindly allowed us to quote his comments:
“The pieces are exquisite. Mary loves them, and her comment when I gave the first one to her was “I’m going to wear one of them all the time.” My staff are all impressed with the workmanship, and the detail.” Continue reading
This Sgian Dubh was commissioned for a presentation to the Commanding Officer of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
It has an RSS badge inlaid into an African Blackwood handle carved in the regimental style with added brass pins and ferrules. The top ferrule holds a beautiful pommel stone cut by Nat Forno from a pebble found by Black Watch soldiers on the beach at their regimental headquarters at Fort George.
We engraved the blade on both sides with inscriptions detailing the presentation and embossed the sheath with the CO’s initials. Continue reading
These very special and unique Sterling Silver wedding rings incorporate a Pictish styled fox and bear. We worked closely with the couple to create this design which ties in with the woodland theme of their wedding. Comments from the couple below:
“Our rings arrived yesterday and they’re beautiful!
Absolutely perfect, the level of detail on them is just amazing!
Thank you so much. All the best, Steph and Davey” Continue reading
We recently finished this pair of bold, heavy-weight Celtic wedding rings in 18ct White Gold, with a short inner inscription, for Lisa and Darren. They have kindly allowed us to post the email they sent when they received their rings. It was a pleasure working with the couple to make their rings and we appreciate the heartfelt thanks.
“We both would like to say a huge thank you for our wedding rings, they
are fantastic and so much more than we could have imagined. I am so
pleased that we took the time to trawl through numerous websites to
come across yours and decide on your company to make our very special
We are not having a huge ceremony which is why we decided to have our
rings made, to make them special and unique. We are so pleased that
you were able to deliver the design and the engraving for us which has
truly made these rings perfect.” Continue reading
These bespoke wedding rings were cut from a solid bar of Aerospace Grade Ti6Al/4V Titanium.
We helped the couple design their own rings, both rings have the same simple 3 corner Celtic knot cut into them, repeated 3 times around the rings. The groom’s ring is engraved with Alba Gu Bràth (Gaelic for ‘Scotland For Ever’) against diamond checkering while the bride’s ring has a highly polished finish. Continue reading

We received a very nice email from Mark when his Sgian Dubh arrived;
“The sgian dubh arrived in yesterday’s post. It’s more than a fine
accessory, it’s a work of art. I’ll almost feel guilty shoving it in
my sweaty hose top!……
Regards, Mark” Continue reading
Here’s a bespoke Sterling Silver pendant and ring designed and made for a special request featuring the Infinity symbol. The Sapphires and a Ruby in the pendant are set out in the pattern of the stars of Orion’s Belt, while the Infinity symbols of the ring each hold a small Ruby.
I made this Sgian Brew as a special commission with a carved Bog Oak handle and a Sterling Silver ferrule band engraved with Pictish wolves. It’s owner sent me the following;
“Hi Rab, I just received your Sgian Brew. It’s the second I’ve had and your workmanship just gets better and better. This one is going on a hook on my bar so that it can’t wander during a party. No more hunt the bottle opener. It has already been much admired… perhaps it should have a chain and lock on it rather than a leather string. Thanks again for a beautifully made piece of art.” Continue reading
