Palladium Wedding Ring with Greek Handwriting & Celtic Knot design

Just finished this special wedding ring. Made to our customer’s own design incorporating their handwritting and Celitic knotwork. We sandblasted the background and polished the knot and rim for a contrasting effect. Continue reading

A weekend on Lewis

Just had a great weekend staying with friends on the Isle of Lewis, the photo above is of Cliff Beach on the West Side. Max found a lovely stone for the Sgian Dubh Pommels a little further on from here, I’ll post a photo when it’s cut and polished.
Very relaxing and good company, we also got a chance to see the Lewis Chess Men during their loan to Museum nan Eilean, in Stornoway which will probably influence an upcoming Viking styled Sgian Dubh commission. Continue reading

Sgian Dubh / Bottle Opener with Skye Marble, Damascus and Bog Oak

“Just a message to let you know I received the sgian dubh yesterday. I’m chuffed to bits with the result. I think leaving the blade plain was the right decision, the finish on the Damascus steel looks amazing. I’m was also pleasantly surprised by just how nice the sheath is, I had expected it to be thinner. It has a very substantial qualitative feel to it.
